Heaven for Young Authors · An Atheden Platform
A free-forever home on the internet for every child who has something to say. Write it. Publish it. Own it. No gatekeepers.
Athens was the city where thinking mattered. Where anyone could stand up, share an idea, and be heard. Your words are real ideas. They deserve a real home.
Eden was a place of complete safety, beauty, and freedom. That is what Atheden is for your writing: a permanent peaceful garden where your words live forever, exactly as you wrote them.
Completely free. No payments, no fees, no subscriptions. The tools are yours to use forever.
No platform can silence you. No terms of service can vanish your work. Your writing lives on your own piece of the internet.
If you can type in Notepad, you can publish a book. The tools here do the rest automatically in seconds.
“Every child who has ever written something and then hidden it because they were afraid it was not good enough — this place was built for you. Your words are already good enough. They always were.”
— Wendell Charles NeSmith, creator of Atheden · 36 years building worlds in poverty, in hospitals, in love

The Sync Bell converts your plain .txt files into beautiful HTML books instantly. Works 100% offline — no account or internet needed.
The Sync Bell automatically creates a manifest.json file inside every library.zip it generates. This small index file lists all your books. Your library.html page reads it to display your full searchable book list automatically.
You never touch the manifest yourself. The flow is: write .txt file → drop on Sync Bell → download library.zip → extract → upload the library/ folder (which already contains manifest.json) → done.
To add a new book later: write new .txt file → drop all your books (old and new together) onto Sync Bell → download new zip → re-upload library/ folder. The manifest regenerates fresh every time. ✨
Drop .txt files → beautiful HTML books → manifest.json generated automatically inside the zip

This platform was built by Wendell Charles NeSmith — philosopher, filmmaker, and author who has spent 36 years creating an entire civilisational framework from scratch, authoring a vast and ever-growing library of books, producing an immense body of video work, and building digital tools for human sovereignty.
This work was done in poverty. In hospitals. In love. Everything here — every line of code, every idea, every tool — is released as CC0 Public Domain. It belongs to everyone. It always will. Copy it, share it, adapt it, build on it.
An ever-expanding body of work spanning philosophy, governance, child sovereignty, emergent systems, poetry, fiction, and far beyond — all CC0, and growing every day. Take it, share it, print it, translate it:
